Terra Linda will be utilizing SportsWare for submission of Athlete's medical information. 

Please click the below to register for Sportware and upload your student's medical information. 

The Athletic Trainer is the only person who has access to the information completed online.

The Athletic Department will have access to the physical that is uploaded.

Academic & Attendance Eligibility & Medical

Athletes must have a 2.0 GPA to participate AND have passed a minimum of four classes. 

Athletes can not have more than 1 F.

If you are below a 2.0 GPA and want to participate,
please see the AD to determine if you qualify for a one-time waiver. 

Students are not eligible for waiver if they have below a 2.0 2 quarters in a row.

Waiver is not available to 9th grade athletes.


Attendance Eligibility

Attend school a minimum of four (4) regular or two (2) block periods before being allowed to practice/play on any given day.  Maintain a minimum of a 2.0 GPA and must be passing at least four classes according to SRCHSD, MCAL and NCS policies.

The updated Athletic Participation form must be completed,signed, and returned to the Athletic Office for students trying out and participating in Sports.


Medical: Per CIF rules, an athlete must have a current physical on file (dated by physical after July 1, 2017).  If you have had a physical during the 2016-2017 year, the physician must sign a new medical release form.


Athletes with Kaiser Medical Insurance:  Per CIF rules, a medical clearance is valid for one year from the date of the exam.  Kaiser medical exams are given every two (2) years.  This has caused confusion.  Between exams, ask to have the Kaiser physician provide a current date next to his/her signature so the medical clearance will be acceptable.  With the Kaiser medical clearances, the date of the physician’s signature will be used to determine the length of validity of the medical clearance.

Sports Information for Summer and Fall 2017

Sport Summer/Try-out information
Basketball Returning players:  The first practice will be Monday, June 12 - 11:00 – 1:00 for varsity and 1:00 – 3:00 for JV
  • JV – Weeknight league games at TL – Tuesdays and Wednesdays – 6/13, 6/14, 6/20, 6/21, 6/27, 6/28, 7/5, 7/11, 7/12.  Possibly one more game date; JV – Marin Shootouts – June 30 – July 2 & July 7-9.  5 games each weekend – 2 on one day, 3 on another and 1 day off.
  • Varsity – 3 weekend shootouts in Marin – June 16-18, June 30 – July 2 & July 7-9.  5 games each weekend.  2 on one day, 3 on another and one day off.

Incoming players:  

Players will participate in the annual Frosh summer league, which is run by the NBBA.  Games will be played on Mondays and Wednesdays at San Rafael High School.  Potential game dates are 6/12, 6/14, 6/19, 6/21, 6/26, 6/28, 7/5, 7/10, 7/12 & possibly 7/17. 

We will also participate in two weekend shootouts with a 5 game guarantee.  The weekends are June 30 – July 2 and July 7-9.  We will have games on two of the 3 days.  2 games on day and 3 on the other.


To get the ball rolling we will have an initial workout on, Saturday, June 10 from 11:00 – 1:00.  We will also practice on Sunday, June 11 from 11:00 - 1:00.  ALL PRACTICES WILL BE AT TERRA LINDA. The first game is scheduled for the 12th.  Please be properly attired for a 2 hour basketball practice.  You will receive a schedule for the entire summer at the June 10th practice

Football Summer workouts starting June 12th 4pm-7pm Monday-Thursday; strongly recommended any athlete interested in playing football attend summer workouts; football season officially begins Monday, July 24.
Golf Womens Aug 14 until start of school: 4:00-5:30 at McInnis Golf Park.  Be ready to to play at first practice.
Tennis, Womens Aug 14 until start of school: 9am-11am at Tennis Court.  No try-outs - competition first two weeks to establish a beginning ladder.

Open Gym: Thursdays 6/22, 6/29, 7/13, 7/20, 7/27 (No Open Gym the week of July 4th) 5:30-7:30pm
Practice for returning Varsity/JV players Mondays, 6/26 & 7/25, 5:30-7:30pm
Varsity and JV try-outs: August 14, 10am-noon and 2pm-4pm. Varsity practice will be Aug 15-23 from 10am-noon & 2pm-4pm.  Information on JV practice times and Frosh tryouts/practice times will be posted as it becomes available

Transferring to TL?

All students coming to Terra Linda from another High School MUST speak with our Athletic Director after meeting with our School Registrar and enrolling for classes. CIF/NCS must approve ALL transfer students for athletic eligibility.  CIF/NCS forms may be required, subject to the conditions of the student transfer.  See CIF bylaws 206, 207 and 510 for student transfer details (
